BIO
Leoni Marie Hübner works as a photographer,curator and exhibition designer and is based in Hamburg. An active member of the Focus Agency and the Friends of the House of Photography (Deichtorhallen Hamburg).
Artistically, Hübner likes to dive into long-term projects, working participatively with groups that are marginalised in society by using photography, video and text. Questions of belonging and a performa-tive play with identity are the common thread in these projects.

»Jagen & Sammeln« Symposium
Alongside Viktor Hois, I curated the 15th edition of »Jagen & Sammeln« symposiums at the Deichtorhallen Hamburg. We had the honour to learn about critical war reporting from Anastasia Taylor-Lind and Alisa Sopova (with their project »5K from the frontline«), talked about ideas on (photo-)journalistic approaches to far right parties like the german AfD with Rafael Heygster (photographer), Thomas Victor (photographer), Maria Timtschenko (»How right-wingers talk«), and Lara Huck (photo editor / ZEIT). Last but not at all least we let sink in how stereotypical depictions of events can form an emotional script with Franzis Kabisch’s »getty abortions«.
